Brief Biography
David Turner was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He studied biology at the University of Utah and the University of Colorado, and received his Ph.D. from the Department of Botany at Washington State University. David worked at the EPA Laboratory in Corvallis (OR) for 10 years and has worked at Oregon State University since 1996. In 2010 he became a Professor (Senior Research) in the Department of Forest Ecosystems and Society. He lives with his wife Mariette and has a grown daughter and son. David enjoys traveling, music, and the outdoors, especially hiking, biking, and gardening.
